I spent the morning at Limited Two with my daugter

In My Opinion
I want the days back where I could go to Wal-Mart and buy her clothes.

but, nooooooo, we have to have the proper tag on the attire or the other little stuck up children will make fun of her.

45 bucks for a dress that I could have got at walmart for 2 bucks on the clearence rack.

40 bucks for a pair of pajamas that nobody will see, but I am assured that the limited two name tag will give her a good nights sleep..

let us not even discuss the tee-shirts or pants that look like someone wore them for the last 10 years then stuck them back on the rack.

oh, and how is it that at the age of 10, females already know that you cant wear a new dress with an old pair of shoes?????

Ok, gonna go cry and drink now..
But first, must dig through desk to collect enough pennies to buy some cheap smokes.

Oh well, at least she likes me again for a day or two.

I buy my kids clothes at wal-mart, kmart or target and if they don't like it, I guess they will be naked

My oldest son who will be 11 in June, wears size 16 clothes and 8.5 in men's shoes and is 5'1, I've bought him 2 pairs of shoes in 2 months, when do they stop growing like weeds?

Wait till she turns 14 or 15 and she "absolutely has to have those pants" and they don't sell them in any store on this side of the country....so, on the internet you go $60+shipping later, you have a pair of pant that turns into a backpack and a pair of short(3 for 1 deal:confused:) that can't be put in the dryer....and of course, she put them in the dryer....then in the trash

Needless to say she didn't get another pair

We all went through the same fads way back when. Had to have the latest in styles and fashion, etc.

The only change is: the prices have gone up. :shocking: There were just the 2 of us in our family; when you have 3, 4, or 5 kids, a second job is almost a given! :jameo:

Mine is 8, and to be honest, I can't think of a single article of clothing that isn't name brand of hers. :ohwell: Then again, that's mostly my doing. I just think the stores like Old Navy, The Children's Place, Gymboree, etc. have really cute clothes. Not to mention, they usually have really good sales all the time.

Can't argue with that thinking! :huggy:

OMG I hate that store! You should have called me, I have so many clothes that my daughter has outgrown from limited too. Some of their clothes are too provocative I think. Let me know what size because I am sure I still have some summer clothes left that are too small for her and that are practically brand new. My daughter "thought" she liked them. She had gotten some of those little tops w/ the spagetti straps, turns out, she hated them and I ended up returning them.

Got my way on that one!!! But I have some short sleeved shirts, shorts and skirts/skorts that will be too small for the leggy blonde this year. Their prices are outrageous!

This year she is into Aeropostole. Theirs are a little pricey too depending on what you buy but not as bad as limited too. Atleast at Aeropostole their sales or clearance stuff is not just as much as the full price stuff.

Limited Too clothing is the worst for quality. They are very cheaply made. My daughter went through the limited too faze. I took her in the store and we looked at the clothes and talked about quality. She still wants certain makers of clothes but she does look at the way the clothes are made now. Funny story....we were in Forever Twentyone and I went right for the sale/clearence rack. My daughter said, "I hate when you go to these racks first, you make me feel poor." I said, "well, we are poor!" You should have seem her face, I thought she was going to cry. But then I told her she could get 4 tops from the clearance rack or 1 top from the regular price rack. She always checks clearence first now.

So when did Sears and JC Penny go out of style? My 7y/o likes anything in facts he swears he is one of the best dressed in his school (there are 3 others). I for one am finding that hard to believe since that was a little conceited.

School shopping trips 1 and 2 I spent like $500 total for his wardrobe at Foreman Mills. This was from underwear to a coat. I bought all of this stuff because in DC he wore uniforms to school so he really didn't have any school clothes.

And I bought him three pairs of shoes from Footlocker including a pair of Chucks that I have yet to see him wear again. I won't even ask to see them. He knows that since he can't keep his shoes tied and they look raggedy and raggedier each time I look that me spending a lot of money on tennis shoes will be a luck of the draw.

After that I have been shopping at Wal-mart for his stuff, shirt here, jeans there, sweatshirt hoodie, puffy vest, etc. I have already begun saving for this school year because I know that half of what I bought he won't be able to get into or it won't even look right to send him back to school in.

Who started this anyway? The most problems he gives me is a color difference. He doesn't complain about brand names as long as it looks "fresh". I didn't really like the bland uniforms they wore but I am so missing them. At least I knew I only had to buy 5 pants and 10 shirts (long and short sleeve) and be done for the school year. Help :bawl:

Praise The Lord we sent our kid to a parochial school where the kids all had to wear the Uniform Of The Day. We bought the stuff for him at wherever we got the best deal.

Maybe we brought him up wrong, but he graduated from college with honors and has been accepted into medical school in spite of his nerdy clothes.
