There's no MSG.
I picked up a packet of Old El Paso taco seasoning and put together some taco meat. I tasted it and it was super bland, not nearly as good as I remember it from even 10 years ago (which is the last time I used packaged taco seasoning). So I whipped out my trust container of Accent, and BOOM! There it is! That zesty savory flavor I remember.
I notice that with a lot of packaged mixes etc - they're bland and tasteless. Clearly they need that MSG oompf.
They should make no MSG versions and also the original kind for people like me.
