Always hated him and his team after he whined his way into a National Championship. Not it turns out the old fart has a lot to recommend him.

That pretty much sums it up. He's no saint, and if you look hard enough you can find instances when his players were allowed to do some things that the general student population can't get away with. But when you compare him and his program to those at other big-money schools, that's when he begins to look like a saint. He does insist that his players act like decent people.
