Smilin on a cloudy day
We're picking up an older beagle we adopted from tri-county on Wednesday or Thursday. She still has to visit the vet before we can bring her home. If you were there this weekend, she was in the last kennel by the door. Just an old greying girl, cold and scared. We knew she didn't have much of a chance. After some successful fosters we thought it was time to save an older one this time. She'll live out her days here with us.

I'm sure we saw June but with all the beagles that were there it was tough keeping track of names. There were at least 4 that looked like her. Eddie and Blue were still there as well.

Aww...Tipper is adorable!

A coworker just saw Tipper's picture - she is adorable.
I could not get the rest of the site to display (damn NMCI):
Does anyone know the adoption fees ?
Is Tri-county a no-kill shelter, if not how long do they give each animal ?

This guy was adopted for a day then brought back because the resident dog wouldn't get along with him. He was all alone in the puppy room on Saturday.

Yikes! I met the lady that had him for that one day/nite this past Saturday! We were at Petco for our adoption event...her daughter was crying because they turned him back in to the shelter, and the new dog had slept w/ girl that nite. She is out looking for another dog! One that will get along w/ her other dog...How sad for that little corgi mix...she didn't give him any time to adjust at all!!

Tri Cty is a kill shelter. If they have more dogs come in, and cages are full...adoptions or euthansia are the only ways to make more room...

301-932-1713 is the # for Tri Cty.

That family is definitely a Do not adopt as far as I'm concerned, she didn't even give this dog a chance!

I feel bad for the little girl who had him for a nite but would have to agree with you. Unless the dog was in immediate danger they could of taken some more time with him.
It was tough for us not to take him. With the exception of his heartworm condition I think he still has a good chance of finding the right family.
We chose an old girl we knew had little hope of getting adopted.
