Kiki has this bad habit of jumping up on my desk and getting her crummy cat hair all over the place and funking up my computer. So she's standing there, poised to jump and I sternly told her NO! She still kind of juked around like she was considering it, so I warned her she better not (in my mean Mommy voice).

Still, she wouldn't shoo so I swatted at her, just kind of waving my hand at her to get her to run off and she reared up and started swatting me back. Bad kitty.

Of course this ended with me tickling her tummy and telling her what a cute girl she is, but still.....

Evil.

Why do cats watch you do something engrossing, then interrupt?
My 18 pound tomcat does the same thing to me. He waits until I'm typing, jumps up on my desk and let's me absent mindedly scratch him.
Then the miserable cur BITES me when I'm not looking.
My kids think it's a riot!

They are shorter term than children, and not as labor intensive.

I got teabagged the other day, but that belongs in the dog forum.

I've been cleaning the basement all day. Zuma, my 18 lb "monster bully boy" got upset with me and bit my hand and I bit the boy right back behind his ear. He bit my hand again and I bit his ear again. He backed up and looked at me and decided he didn't like this game...he bullies all the animals and they all end up intimidated and hiding from him...not me...at least not today :ohwell:

Smilin and Frequentflier- You both posted that you have 18lbs cats. I have a 17lbs cat and the vet is all over me that I need to control his food or else he'll get diabetes. The vet isn't convinced when I tell them that he does not over-eat. I have one bowl (it's not even a big bowl) between two cats and I fill it up maybe every other day. The cat is just fat. Do either of you have health issues with your fat cats?

Our "big-boned" girls weigh in at 17 and 20 pounds. The 20 pounder just lost 3 pounds!! The vet was very proud of her. They are both on healthy weight management food, but are just big. The 17 pounder is a calico (they think with some Maine Coon in her). Her paws are huge and she is a big ball of fur. The Tabby just has a big body. Daughter had me looking at some Scottish Folds the other day, and the tabby's body shape looks a lot like them. Anyway, vet says that as long as they don't get any heavier and stay healthy like they are, just let them be. Oh, and they are both around 11 years old.

Tucker was 20 lbs when we got him. I think he's down to about 17 now. Jack is also big...maybe 15 lbs. Chilli is a normal 4 or 5 lbs.

Zuma isn't fat- he is just a huge cat! He was a PAWS rescue cat and is about 2 years old. The other 2 house cats are small and Shy-Anne, the store kitty is also small.
