If Trump taps her for VP in 2024 he is a fool and I'd have to think twice about voting for him, too.

She hasn’t done anything that I know of that would stop me from voting for a ticker with her on it.

Well I’ve got to admit, I really don’t like Trump that much. I liked his policies and his less political more common sense approach to accomplishing things, but as a person I think he’s a duck. I used to work for someone who was very similar to him and it was one of the worst experiences of my life. So I can understand if she has to go honey badger on him.

Well I’ve got to admit, I really don’t like Trump that much. I liked his policies and his less political more common sense approach to accomplishing things, but as a person I think he’s a duck. I'm with you on that. I voted for Trump not for him but because of the policies and my belief that the progressive democrat policies are a major step toward socialism. I would prefer that he step back and take a higher position as the head of the RNC platform instead of running again.

Unfortunately, I believe the republican party may now be in a civil war within itself. If Trump runs again, the Trump loyalists will not accept anyone else if he loses in the primaries. They will stay home, or vote third party. If he wins, the anti-Trump part of the party will do the same. That is exactly what Democrats are hoping for.

The only way out of this is if Trump decides not to run and instead takes on a "King maker" position within the party. I don't know if his ego will allow that. If he does decide not to run and gets behind a candidate, Republicans will easily win the presidency in 2024. If he doesn't Democrats will win again and the only hope will be that at least either the house or senate is republican to allow divided government a chance to stall the progressive agenda.

There was a George Will op-ed in the hometown paper bemoaning the downfall of traditional Republicans like Regan, Dole, and Baker. Standing for conservative Rep ideals, but willing to compromise for the good of the country.

Unfortunately Reps of today are not trying to compromise with moderate Dems. They are trying to find common ground with the radical left of the party.

You cant compromise with terrorists and anyone who says you can is to be ridiculed, then ignored. "Oh, we should compromise with the Nazis and find common ground with them" said nobody ever except Neville Chamberlain and we see how that turned out.

I don't want to compromise with thieves and cutthroats. I want to defeat them. This chit should have been nipped in the bud, but elitists like George Will got a death grip on their pearls and insisted we had to make nice with these evil people. And now here we are.
