Because if you do, then you would get an official e-mailer notification telling you not to come to work that day.

That is not necessarily true. I am a contractor and have worked on a government facility for 19 years. That doesn't happen very often, at least not here.

Well, when there were several people who agreed that the post made no sense, maybe it was the poster's mistake.

I have been a government contractor for over 20 years and have found that it is illegal for contractors to bill the government for leave such as this. We are required to take a day of leave or our company has to grant us "overhead" pay, but we cannot take the day off on the governments dime.

Keyword: Contractor

Contractors would not get this email.

I get those emails when they come out.....and I's a Contracker.....:dork:

I have on occasion, but it isn't the norm for me. I guess it depends on your COR and customers.

See, I'm not the only one that the issue is slightly different. Kwilla you are exactly correct about the contractor being off that day. Our rule is if you cannot get to your office, you must take leave or go to the closest company office.

Things are different at different locations ya know. All contractors here follow the government schedule.

I hope she shoves a cowgirl boot up your ass. If not, I will. Nevermind, judging by your posts, you've already got something shoved up there. :yay:
