Revelation 8:6 Then the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared to sound them.
7 The first angel sounded his trumpet, and there came hail and fire mixed with blood, and it was hurled down on the earth. A third of the earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.
Let's see what thecommentary says.

Hail and fire followed, mingled with blood: Blood may indicate the color or the result of the phenomenon described here. We don’t know if the hail and fire was red in color or if it brought forth red blood, but one way or another this should be understood straightforwardly, without escaping into a creative symbolism.

A third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up: Because of this hail and fire, trees and grass are destroyed — one-third of the vegetation of the planet is burned up during the great tribulation.

How will this happen? Many wonder if it will happen through phenomenon we know today, like nuclear war, fallout, pollution, meteors, and so forth. These ideas are interesting and possible, but they should never obscure the essential truth: God brings judgment. He isn’t a passive bystander. This is not “nature” taking its course.
Have you seen a wildfire? Have you seen pictures of a wildfire? The embers fly. Out here in Arizona we have wildfires like Southern Maryland has hurricanes.

When building homes in Southern Maryland, houses are strapped down during construction so that strong winds cannot just take the house off its' foundation. Out here... We have to worry about embers flying into the eves and setting the house on fire. We have to trim back our bushes so they don't catch an ember and set the house on fire.

The commentary says "this is not 'nature' taking its course". Well, let me tell you... I agree that it's not your everyday nature. It's worldwide and that is the clue that shows it's of God.

Out here in Apache Junction, AZ, we haven't seen rain in over 110 days. We're in the worst drought in decades. They say it's global warming. The Colorado River and Lake Meade are drying up. There are serious conversations about "water shortages". There's a whole community out here fighting Maricopa County in court over "water rights". I thought all that went away with the civilization of the old west. Not so... it's literally heating up.

The embers of a little fire pit can float up to a dry palm or Pala Verde and start it on fire.... and then the embers from the dry palm or Pala Verde are hurled to the vegetation on the ground, along with any infrastructure, just as if they were coming from Heaven itself.

So... the commentary says it's just probably symbolic.... After all the embers from a palm or Pala Verde are not red like blood. The commentary is putting God in a box again....

A rich politician once said "you should rake your forests". Well, that might have sounded stupid when he said it.... but the Bible says we're going to see all the green grass burn. If we rake the forests... well, there would be green grass.... It's still as stupid as it sounded.

Global Warming is of God.

I wouldn't be surprised by dark red embers.
