ICE group praises Trump for Homan, Noem picks to lead immigration team: ‘Fired up’

President-elect Donald Trump promised a historic mass deportation operation

FIRST ON FOX: A law enforcement association made up of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) employees is backing President-elect Donald Trump’s choices to head his immigration team next year as it seeks to launch an ambitious mass deportation plan -- with the group saying ICE agents and officers are "fired up."

In a statement obtained by Fox News Digital, the Executive Board of the National ICE Officers Association said it offers its "strong support" for the appointment of former acting ICE Director Thomas Homan as border czar, and the nomination of South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem to lead the Department of Homeland Security.

"Former Director Homan is one of us and knows exactly what it takes to do the job and make our communities safe," the statement said.

The group is a newly established law enforcement association for members of ICE who serve in the agency's Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) branch. It was established this year and is in the process of seeking to become the exclusive union for the agency.

The group similarly praised the selection of Noem as the Department of Homeland Security nominee.

Well, they are clearly Nazis....

A 2yo El Salvadoran girl was found wandering unaccompanied the other day. No parents, no guardians, just alone. Apparently it happens all the time. I don't remember the number but there are a TON of children who came across the border unaccompanied and are now unaccounted for. These children were obviously kidnapped or sold by their parents to traffickers and smuggled into the US.

That makes me sick and whenever some durhard whines that children "are being separated from their parents" at the border, I want to punch their face, they're so freaking moronic.

Not sure what part of "criminal" the left is failing to understand. Now, we do need to get a handle on the millions of others. And the system does need real reform to allow for seasonal and other needed labor. Heck, I'm okay with a path to citizenship. But that path needs to contain some recompense to the US for breaking our immigration law.

Most fair seems to me to be labor or some other service. Give me ten hours a month for some amount of months.

Government bureaucrats make it harder than it has to be. We've always had immigrants and migrant workers in this country and it worked just fine. I'd have to research to pinpoint when it started going off the rails, but actually following the laws already in place would be a good start to getting a handle on things.

The only reason I can think of why government officials would be in favor of illegal alien drug and child trafficking is because they make money off it. The people in our news media know damn well what's going on, so obviously they're in on it too. I feel like if the lid got blown off this operation it would rock our country to its very core.

WHEN we find them - who has them - and if they're being abused -

I recommend just simply plastering their faces, names and addresses all over the neighborhood and local social media.

They'll WISH they went to prison.

Pure conjecture on my part, but somewhere they stopped bothering any sort of accountability - and they just simply let people in without any oversight of what they were doing here. On the plane to Russia, there was a Russian who bent my ear - to my wife's annoyance - about his job on an American oil rig, but he only had permission to work a few months at a time. Then he had to return, presumably to continue the process.

We went to Russia and China - and a few other countries - but we HAD TO INFORM their state department where we were every couple days - and when we were leaving. And BEING China or Russia - you dared NOT fail to follow through. It was bad enough dealing with their law enforcement who are desperately corrupt. The people there were surprised that police will issue a TICKET - rather than hold out their hand for a bribe. They really thought, that's just the way it works.

Do you remember years ago, they used to say that most illegal immigrants were visa overstays? Yeah, they don't say that anymore - one, because it's obviously incorrect but for another - it was NEVER correct. For our ports, air travel and so on, we do a pretty good job of watching where people WITH visas come in, and go - and with tens of millions of visits - the difference between those who enter and those who leave is tiny - but a substantial NUMBER because of the incredible VOLUME of people who arrive here for business or school.

The vast, overwhelming majority of those overstays - are Canadians. YUP, we're being overrun by Canadians! No, we're not. They miss about 1-2% of them, mostly because they happen to return via a different means, and we don't "catch it" at the border.

Well, folks in the system have to paid. And farmers and construction company owners would rather pay people who are not in the system under the table. So the groups that lobby for them advocate for not addressing the problem.

I'm guessing those folks aren't going to be a priority for Homan and his search and destroy campaign. He's been pretty clear that they'll be going after the criminals here illegally and trying to find the children who've "disappeared". Abuela and Manuel the gardener aren't urgent.

And for the time being - I am ok with that. The gangs, the criminals, the lost children - THEY are the biggest threat or tragedy.
I would also like to see enforcement of employee id's to keep people from paying under the table. I remember when Larry would mention that gardening type businesses could easily be outbid by companies who hire illegals, because they could do things CHEAPER - so everyone ELSE did it, too.

When you cannot get a job here without ID or a visa or green card - the sensible route is to self-deport and re-enter. WORSE if we stipulate that UNLESS you self-deport - and are caught - you can't come back for, say, five years. Better to leave NOW.

Go and walk around tonight in Langley and Tacoma Park and get back to me.
I'm not OK with that path. 25-30 years ago we had somewhere between 25 to 40 million illegals here, somehow that number keeps going down with millions rolling in here each year. Fu ck them, Send them all home.

Edit, my guess we have closer to 100 million that need to be sent home.

But they still get jobs, have you ever walked in a store/gas station and the far east Indian can't speak any English at all?

Many of the illegals work in those stores, under the table, for friends or relatives that have residency.
Isn’t there some mechanism where a company must show who works for them on tax forms - and provide proof?

More spot inspections with dire consequences?

There used to be a tactic restaurants, construction and farms used where they declared under a certain amount "casual labor" and they could write it off but not require reporting or withholding.

I can't say for sure but I believe it was either done away with or greatly reduced to keep it from happening but from the looks of the mobs at Home Depot or Lowes for day jobs, somebody is still doing it.
