If anyone has any coats to donate, group of kids are collecting for Charles County

My son and the members of his Destination Imagination team, ages 7 10, are collecting coats, jackets, gloves, hats, snow boots. Anything for the winter to help those less fortunate. If you would like to help out we will come pick up the items. We have talked to churches, Children's Aid Society and Catholic Charities and all would love to have the items we collect. We want to keep all donations to Southern Maryland residents if possible. So far we have collected over 30 items, they need not be new. Thank you so much for any consideration.

Are you sure they get passed on to charities, some people like to go thru donated items and keep them for themselves or their own kids.

This is a response I received from someone. I want to reassure everyone that what my son and his teammates is on the up and up. We are not scamming or trying to get something for ourselves. As a team we wanted to do something in the spirit of the holidays and thought this was a great way to do it. It is also a great way for the kids to be happy and proud of themselves that they are helping others.
