If this happened in any other country......

So certain officials including military leaders took it upon themselves to not inform the president of foreign violations of our airspace and probable (being nice here) spying. Heads need to roll. I never did trust Mattis and Milley.

IMO. They were never detected. Probably after that one crashed near Hawaii four months ago and wasn't detected, someone asked have they done it before? Went back over the data and found several possible flights but can't confirm since no one saw them. This one probably was also not detected till it entered the lower 48.

well, by NO means am I giving our politbureau a break, BUT Joe isnt exactly lucid. He may have thought it was a remake of "Around the World in 80 days" with Dick Van Dyke and Shelly Fabres...

No, they are saying it was tracked starting in Alaska. That's why people are saying it could have been shot down over the ocean there or barren land.

Well they watched it go over America for 4 days and then decided to knock it down over the Ocean. Why did they have to search for it. Why weren't there boats sitting there waiting for it to come down. The Coast Guard, the Navy, they have boats.

Seriously? Do you think they should have caught a couple ton payload moving at terminal velocity?

Just sneakin' around....
Nope but seriously they could have spotted where it came down much easier.
True, but no one knew if it actually had an explosive or radioactive payload. I'd want to put some room between me and it until there was a chance to see it didn't blow up and Geiger counters didn't peg off scale.

It was only off the coast of SC. It was being heavily tracked. They knew exactly where it was.

Yeah, it isn't like they had a F-22 flight orbiting it to splash down with a sensor suite capable of not only marking the spot but forwarding it via data link to those that do recovery.
