When a California woman recently gave birth to a healthy baby just two days after learning she was pregnant, the sudden change to her life was challenging enough. What April Branum definitely didn't need was a deluge of nasty Internet comments.

Postings on message boards made cracks about Branum's weight (about 400 pounds — one reason she says didn't realize sooner she was pregnant). They also analyzed her housekeeping ability, based on a photo of her home. And they called her names. "A pig is a pig," one person wrote. Another suggested that she "go on the show 'The Biggest Loser.'"

I'd love to know why this woman felt compelled to tell a message board that she weighs 400 lbs and that's why she didn't know she was pregnant, and post pics of her filthy home.

I think I'll just get really, really fat and pregnant in that order. Well, DR may not go for that, but I really want my 10 minutes of fame. He'll just have to deal with it.

What did she expect? She is obese and she does have a dirty home. How can she be surprised that most people would not want a piece of that?

WTH would her sister call the newspaper? Were they proud that they were morons? Did they think that they were special because she had no flippin idea she was expecting? Trust me, I've been pregnant 3 diff times to know if I've got a 8lb thing rollin around my belly, twisting and turning and kicking and giving me fits in there.. It ain't gas.... Serves 'em right.. and why would she let her house get sooo filthy? OMG! ignorance KILLS me... Where are my meds???
