Power with Control
So, as I'm about halfway back from a three day trip to Norfolk, I realize I left an item worth about $40 in the room. Not worth adding almost three hours to the trip to go back and get it, I call them (A Marriot Residence Inn, not sure what other hotels might use this service) and explain. they call back, say the maid retrived the item, and they would use the service in the title to get it back to me.

1. Leave stuff in room.
2. Hotel logs stuff into the system, guest name, description of item, etc.
3. Guest gets an email with those details from the service.
4. Log into system from the email, they ask for your zip code, show you shipping options and prices, in my case, ranged from $13 to $18.
5. Pay using any normal method.
6. Hotel gets mailed prepaind shipping labels, sends your stuff, you get a UPS tracking number.

Pretty slick, easy to use.

Many Marriot's are also dog friendly.

I like feel good stories about good service and such.

Forget which motel, but I left my laptop. First leg of the trip. They called me the next day to let me know. Mailed it when I got to CO. Did not charge me.
