A 9-year-old boy looking for help after his mother crashed their van in the southern Arizona desert was rescued by a man entering the U.S. illegally, who stayed with him until help arrived the next day, an official said.
The 45-year-old woman, who eventually died while awaiting help, had been driving on a U.S. Forest Service road in a remote area just north of the Mexican border when she lost control of her van on a curve on Thanksgiving, Santa Cruz County Sheriff Tony Estrada said.
The van vaulted into a canyon and landed 300 feet from the road, he said. The woman, from Rimrock, north of Phoenix, survived the impact but was pinned inside, Estrada said.
Her son, unhurt but disoriented, crawled out to get help and was found about two hours later by Jesus Manuel Cordova, 26, of Magdalena de Kino in the northern Mexican state of Sonora. Unable to pull the mother out, he comforted the boy while they waited for help.

This settles it then. The U.S. should just stop whining and let them ALL come over. Who cares about our laws, National security, the drain on our medical and prison systems, entitlement programs, Chagas disease, tuberculosis, and Denge fever. :jet: Personally, I am currently doing a job Americans won't do and I'm sick of it.

Wow! I went all the way back to ebonics to try and read/understand this and I think I got the point! You don't approve of the Mexican Heritage invading America and taking jobs away from us  I agree to a point.

Lets not forget History and just all get along! :buddies:
In the United States, Cinco de Mayo has taken on a significance beyond that in Mexico. Commercial interests in the United States have capitalized on the celebration, advertising Mexican products and services, with an emphasis on beverages, foods, and music. The date is perhaps best recognized in the United States as a date to celebrate the culture and experiences of Americans of Mexican ancestry.
As a result, the holiday is observed by many Americans regardless of ethnic origins, especially in cities and states where there is a large population of Mexican ancestry. Although it is not an official holiday, many cities with large populations of Mexican ancestry honor the day as a symbolic representation of Mexican pride and as a representation of a culture that blends both Mexican and American roots. Celebrations tend to draw both from traditional Mexican symbols, such as the Virgin de Guadalupe, and from prominent figures of Mexican descent in the United States, such as César Chávez.

The reference to the Battle of Puebla is seen perhaps as a symbolic cultural link to those who had to overcome significant odds while facing adversity. In cities such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Jose, Sacramento, San Antonio, Phoenix, Denver, Albuquerque, El Paso, and elsewhere throughout the Southwest, Cinco de Mayo is best characterized as a day of celebration to honor a culture that fuses Mexican heritage and American life experience. To celebrate, many display Cinco de Mayo banners while school districts hold special events to educate pupils about its historical significance. Special events and celebrations highlight Mexican culture, especially in its music and regional dancing. Examples include ballet folklórico and mariachi demonstrations held annually at the Plaza del Pueblo de Los Angeles, near Olvera Street.

 Ebonics? Seems as though you've started without me :buddies:

All I have to say is what in wide world of sports does flippin Cinco de Mayo have to with what I posted :poke: Oh wait, I get it... you are one of those people such as the mainstream media and libs that confuse ILLEGAL with LEGAL immigration. (or just conveniently lop off the very important ILLEGAL reference.)

Ok, since I was accused of ebonics, I will post some for any future references (assuming "jive" and "ebonics" are interchangable)

Jiveman #1: Sheeeet, man, that honkey mus' be messin' my old lady got to be runnin' col' upsihd down his head! Golly, that white fellow should stay away from my wife or I will punch him.
Jiveman #2: Hey Holm, I can dig it! You know he ain't gonna lay no mo' big rap upon you man! Yes, he is wrong for doing that.
Jiveman #1: I say hey sky, s'other say I won say I pray to J I get the same ol' same ol. I knew a man in a similar predicament, and he ended up being sorry.
Jiveman #2: Knock yourself a pro slick. Gray matter back got perform' us' down I take TCBin, man'. Don't be naive Arthur. Each of us faces a clear moral choice.
Jiveman #1: You know wha' they say: See a broad to get that bodiac lay'er down an' smack 'em yack 'em. Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.
Together: Col' got to be! Yo! How true!
Together: Sh010039et! Golly!

P.S. Don't worry about the red karma, I think it's kinda silly actually. Just gives peeps a way to ball-less-ly hit and run, unless they sign it... in which case they should just reply to your post, or at least PM.

Another P.S. - Not sure what it has to do with the price of tea, but I am also an American Indian registered in Missouri. Wow, that sounded as random as yours,

No, just trying to make a point that illegal immigrants aren't demons.

Actually, most illegal immigrants are exactly the type of people that would make this country stronger, if only they would go about the process legally: they are resourceful, hard working, family minded folks. It's too bad that we can't trade some of them for some of the miscreants who were born here.
