What stunned me was the Hispanic population comprises 30% of the town's population...and the Mayor and board passed a tough stand against illegals.

That was very gutsy! Most politicians facing that voting block would cower & accomodate (ie Northern Va).

Any police on the Forum that can clarify: when you discover an illegal...what do you do?
a) If criminal act...arrest, mirandize, and put into the system.
b) If passenger, witness, non-offender....just let it slide bcause its a Federal issue and thus not your problem?
c) Don't ask--don't tell?
d) Offer advice how to become a citizen and start them on their way?



Personally: I want them detained, processed, and expelled.-EVERY lawman should have the support of the Sheriff/State Police Commander & County officials to do it....heck: put a commendation in the file for the most detainees.

This is the constant tactic of these folks - confuse "immigrant" with "illegal". You'll see this in almost EVERY article arguing in favor of illegals.

I'm going to Russia in a few months. Any guesses how long they'd tolerate me hanging out in THEIR country illegally?
