Just know that when the program bankrupts the county, the state (read: you all) will be paying for it.

"Racial wealth gap" is code for "crack money". They're not handing out rent assistance or grocery vouchers or medical care - they're giving money. So I have to believe the drug dealer coalition bribed the council to make this happen.

Sure, because now all those corner boys got some bank. They'll hire some actress to play a young single mom who was lifted out of crack whore poverty and now she's CEO of Boeing, all thanks to Thrive Prince George's. She'll go on all the talk shows and the DNC-run news media will fawn on her. But in reality that money will cause a sh*t TON of OD deaths.

We've seen this show before.

What they should do is give assistance with necessities, not just hand people cash.

I don't believe this is paid for with tax money. It seems to be a private entity surviving off donations.
Which means if people are stupid enough to donate to this, why should I care?
As long as they aren't using tax money coming from the Government I don't give a damn how many people they support.
Who knows maybe some may benefit from this. I won't be donating, but I am sure plenty of do-gooders will.
Pretty sure whoever is running it will benefit financially.

Mentioning Seat Pleasant got me thinking... Every place I lived, that was a really nice place, 40 to 50 years ago is a ghetto now.

Hyattsville, Riverdale, Seat Pleasant, Landover, Oxon Hill... At least Southern Maryland held out up till now.
