I have never ever had one purr at me like a cat until today! I was quite surprised and laughing as I was petting this dog and he was purring like a cat.

Background: Little Pitty Mix puppy that we fostered and was adopted. He's back with us for a week for puppy sitting while his adoptive owner goes on a vacation that was planned before the owner adopted the puppy.

That's pretty funny. My dog groans when I rub her ears. The other dog thinks I'm hurting her and starts whining and pacing.

That is too funny. Not sure if anyone knows of Elam who owns Loveville Leather but he has two Boston Terriers. The female, Peppermint, does that when she lays on her back and you rub her tummy. Of course, she was heavily pregnant so maybe she made that noise because she was such a chunk.

My dog skips when he runs... His hind legs do a little jig every time!! I've never seen a dog do that either!

Interesting! Can you get the pup to do it again?

He did it the first night back with us and then sadly not again... It was very funny and had he not been in my lap at the time, I would have got up and picked up the video camera!

Elam's pups make that noise all the time... they are snorting and grunting when they do it... this pup was purring. I could feel it under my hand just like a cat when petting him... His adopted mommy has him back now and he didn't do it when she came to pick him up. :shrug:
