In from the cold and wet

I have had nice cat hanging around here the past few days..He seems to make the rounds of the neighborhood.
Nice guy, vetted,,young..funny gray and white marking.

He has the usual sticky seed like things,,and I have taken to brushing him and removing these stickies when he comes around adn I am outside.
He came around tonight looking for a snack, which was up on the picnic table, under the umbrella, so it was nice and dry.

Well he as soaking wet,,not a dry spot on him.
Looks like he was out in the rain all day.

So against all my rules, I brought him in for the night,
He is isolated in my bathroom, complete with all cat stuff including a heated cat bed.
I gave him a good rub down and figured he would do the rest.
Photo to follow in a few when I go and check on him.

For the life of me, I can not understand why someone would pay to get him vetted, and not make sure he in inside out of the rain.
...some people should not own pets...

Oh, name is Spot. The photos will tell you why. :howdy:

Actually your guy is very handsome...a gray tuxedo in my book..
Spot is more of a gray cow cat with some tiger stripes in his tail.

Ah, he's adorable. He kind of reminds me of my gray and white male, but the tabby markings on my kitty are much fainter - probably because he has long hair. I'm glad he found a warm and dry place to stay last night.

It was very nice of you to bring him inside....but I don't understand why you think it was horrible of his owners (if he has any) to leave him out? It's fairly warm out....and it's only rain. Most cats are smart enough to find something to hide under if it's raining.

I don't think his owners are that terrible for leaving him outside....what if he didn't come when they called him...or maybe the owners weren't home when it started raining.

Give me a break...I never said I thought it was 'horrible" or "terrible" ...check what I wrote!!

Hope if you get locked out, you can find a dry place to crawl into and get dry, and sleep nice and warm curled up in the dirt...because someone forgot about you.

He left this morning into a sunny day all dry, fluffy and with a full tummy after spening a night sleping on a heating pad. He is perched on the picnic table checking out a day landscape.

Ever seen how wet a cat can get when he is soaked to the skin?
That is a lot of fur to lick dry.

Hope a animal in need never comes to your door, as I doubt you would care.

You said the owners should not be allowed to own pets.

It's rain...it's not January...it's June. That's all I'm saying. I don't think you should get all pizzy at the owners (if there are any) because their cat was outside. That's all I'm saying. I never said you shouldn't have taken the cat in...I'm just saying I think it's a little overboard to say the owners shouldn't be allowed to have pets.

FYI: This is what is posted:
"For the life of me, I can not understand why someone would pay to get him vetted, and not make sure he in inside out of the rain.

Read it right and quote it right.
It did not say the owners should not be allowed to have pets...

It did say, and it is right there:
....some people should not own pets."

and there are some who should not own kids as they wander off and die...is that OK and should they have more kids after that???
Just wondering why you dont feel we should be kind/kinder to our pets.

Ohh please stop the pizzing contest.

The looks and the demeanor of the cat speaks in volumes for the owners of this pet.

It's raining and kitty lost his scent home is all. I'm sure the owners were worried about him as well.

Inky stop swiping folk's putty cats :lmao:
