My girlfriend and I took the cruise to Smith Island yesterday. It's about 1 1/2 hour ride over (bring bug spray and sunscreen!) and it's well worth doing once. You can also take a second boat on to Chrisfield and stay overnight. Rented a golf cart and saw the whole island in about 15 minutes, a couple shops, 2 restaurants, a museum, nice people. On the way back to LP City we stopped at St. Micheals Vineyard and what a hoot! We were ready for some wine since the island is dry, and it seemed that the owners and their guests had already been partaking! They were very gracious, gave us a tour and some of their red and white to taste (they sell it for $5) beautiful spot and there's a B & B. One last stop .....I kid you not.....on Snow Hill Manor Rd. for cowpie lottery. If you don't know what this is, they set the numbers out in the field and whichever one the cow dumps on is the winner, bingo style!

Also, for all you dog lovers, they have greatly expanded the pet friendly area at Point Lookout Park. They even have a dog beach now. I can't wait to take Miss Dog down there!
