Indestructible Dog Toys

Is there such a thing? I have tried Kong Toys and they never make it past 15 minutes. If anyone has any suggestions on a toy that will last at least for a day I would appreciate it.

If you do find one, please let me know. I found one, said it was indestructible and it was for about a 1/2 hour.

The only thing that has lasted in our house are the nylon bones. The large ones will last a month or so. Bailey has chewed up the black tires, ropes, Kong Toys, stuffed toys and anything else we have gotten him. Boiling the nylon bones in chicken or beef broth for about ten minutes, gives them enough flavor to keep him busy for hours. I want to try boiling one in bacon grease to see what that will do.

What kind of a dog do you have? I have a couple American Bulldogs and they work the black kongs down from the top ring but they take quite a while to do one...

I have English Bulldogs & they tend to do a number on most toys. I have one girl that has demolished most of the so called "indestructible toys". The only thing that I have found that works for her are the Galileo bones that are made by Nylabone.

My Boxers get bored so I change out their toys. I have good luck with the Air Dog toys but they cannot have them for unlimited time. Abbey will destroy almost anything. For chewing, about twice a week I buy marrow bones from Nicks.

I've had 2 of these for a few years for my German Shepherd and Beagle, they haven't destroyed them yet. Keeps the food monster Beagle occupied for quite some time. No visible damage yet...

Everlasting Fun Ball - Dog.com

I used to get marrow bones from Nicks and freeze them, but a new house, new carpet, fat and blood don't go well together.

My dog had one of those big rope toys with the knots on the end, (these seem to last awhile) he loves to swing it around and throw it up in the air and catch it, this was great until he flung it at me while I was asleep, hit me right in the eye. No more toys while I'm asleep.

Don't laugh but this is a beagle who destroys everything. Okay, now that you are finished laughing, I have thought about the tire but, am afraid he will chew to the wires. Rope toys last 5-10 minutes. Nylon bones and Kong toys 15-20 if I'm lucky. I will not give a dog a rock. Have bought marrow bones from Nicks and they do last however, after the first day they stink. I have at least 7 of them laying around (I boiled them to get all of the marrow out along with the stench). He will chew on the clean bones once in awhile but not for long. I never leave any toys laying around. I always supervise because I don't want him or any of the other dogs to swallow any of the remnants. I will try the everlasting fun ball but am not convinced anything is everlasting.

You don't leave the marrow bones out..they rot. Refreeze them after he chews on them for a few hours. Boiling them makes them weak and they can break off.

I was only kidding. Sort of. When we got new tires on my husband's car we kept the old ones for awhile. One day he went out there to get rid of them and just rolled one across the yard. The dog went nuts! :lmao: He chased that thing forever until he finally figured out how to pick it up. Nothing funnier than a dog running around with a big ole tire in his mouth. :roflmao:

Just as funny as the neighbor's lab retrieving rocks and junk form the C.Bay!!
His is a yellow lab with short, very short teeth......
...and a huge collection of rocks and junk!
No tires from what I can rememeber.

I bought some kind of bones from Pepper's in Solomon's and they are the only bones my destroyer dogs don't destroy and can't chew up entirely. They are some kind of marrow bones and they come with filling in them, but I have to take it out because it gives the dogs diahhrea. So, I just scoop the stuff out and give the dogs the bones. They love the bones. I've had them now for about 4-5 months and will have them for that much longer. I have a boxer/pit bull mix, a lab/hound mix, a terrier mix and a german shephard/lab mix.

Mine like those too but I have to be careful because those bones are a bit brittle..they've been processed/cooked and then filled with various fillings.

Interesting...Petco sells them and they are $3 more than what Peppers sells them for. In fact, Peppers is cheaper on most of their items than any of the other places. :yay:

Most of the toys and treats and other merchandise we carry have been recommended by customers. The gallileo bones are awesome and I just ordered some atomic treat balls and buster cubes yesterday.

Half the fun of a toy is ripping it apart. My terrier had a stuffed bunny that she tore open and pulled all the stuffing out. She then ripped the head off and she plays with the head of the bunny for hours, no stuffing, no squeeker. It is her favorite toy.
