instead of killing the treasured Florida gator...

According to court records, Peckham, who was homeless, had been caught by authorities on July 14 for trespassing on county wetland - just half a mile from where she was later found dead.

The New York Post reported the 41-year-old ignored signs warning against unlawful entry and was released on Sept 8 after pleading no contest to the misdemeanour.

She should have listened.

The Gators enforce it much more harshly.

re-home to the Rio Grande.

I've thought that, and it actually has been done. But the environment isn't conducive for them to thrive. Especially after a few illegals would be attacked, most of their prey would be gone.

I don't know how to make the Rio Grande THAT unpleasant without basically poisoning it. Filling it with sewage, say.

:nono: When desperate, they will crawl thru anything, remember Andy Dufresne crawled thru a sewer pipe for 500 yds to get free.
I think I remember reading something that said no one could have survived that, Stephen King notwithstanding.

People HAVE tried some of these things. Believe it or not someone even tried land mines.

All we need is a government that intends to turn them back instead of ringing the dinner bell, letting them in and LYING TO US saying the border is closed.

You got a link for the landmine stuff?

We need a government that will secure the border and treat this invasion for what it is.

We need to elect a Government that does not fear sending those we already have back.
We need to close off the borders to anyone coming in illegally no matter what source they use, then we need to return the illegals who swarmed us. Send them back. It's BS to let them stay. Most of them are males, about 75% , no family, In New York only 8% of them are asking for jobs. They don't seem that anxious to work. The very least we could do is send back those who are healthy who could work and aren't and who cannot support themselves.

And by all freaking means get rid of the criminals and dope dealers and if they return Execute the sumbitches./

If all else fails, we can round up the deer in Maryland, and ship them to Florida for the gators to eat. Win-win.

I’ll look. Many years ago, in Arizona.
Still looking. Most of my searches do not go to landmines but to mining on forgotten strips of land.

But I did learn that there are illegal militias in Arizona (Arizona law outlaws them) whose stated goal is to fight drug cartels but whose actual goal may be to attack illegals crossing.

The landmine story was quite a long way back in my memory - at least twenty years - when I first heard that there were illegal alien sympathy groups putting up water sources in the desert, to keep people from dying of dehydration.
