So as not to step on anyone's tender toes, the author should have replaced 70% Black and racial bias with the words "crime rate". I stopped shopping Iverson Mall after the vulgar exchanges between the roaming players started turning physical and a confronation in the parking garage was the end of it for me. It wasn't long before Landover Mall went the same route. I'm very much biased against crime.

Even putting the aside the remark of alleged racial basis, the sad truth is that a lot of Marlow Heights has become a very dangerous place to live. I also remember the last time I walked through Iverson Mall, it wasn't a pleasant experience. There were none of the great stores of yesteryear, and some of the "shoppers" looked very intimidating. In fact, with the exception of (the former) Sandymount Elementary School and Benjamin Stoddert Middle School, most of my time spent visiting Marlow Heights in the past few years was done while driving around in my car. I won't hold my breath, but I hope someday Marlow Heights becomes a decent place to live again.
