Making coffee, looked out the window into the back yard. There's a young red fox, stalking. Then it lays down flat in attack position and lights out after a squirrel.

I've heard fox yipping at night in the summer, but have never seen them until now.

I used to be kind of indifferent to the little gray menaces until I found plastic items that had tooth marks and holes in them. I lost an Igloo cooler to the little bastards and had to learn plastic welding techniques to save a boat fuel tank that had been chewed on.

Within a month of first moving here they ate thru the propane lines on the BBQ.

I had to cut carboard shipping tubes to length and slip one over the pour spout tube on every one of the dozen or so gas/diesel fuel containers we have sitting here. The little grey hoodlums love to munch on that plastic....

I don't usually recommend Chinese websites, but I ordered quite a few gas can spout/vent kits from banggood dot com. Don't fat finger that address, especially if the "boss" is looking over your shoulder. Don't ask me how I know.
