The tire problems in the NASCAR race weren't limited to Goodyear. Hoosier also had problems in the ARCA race. Nothing's changed in the tire from last year.
Except...
The quickie-dry.
They're using a different quickie-dry this year in both ARCA and NASCAR. They were talking about it on RTR and mentioned this, and that it takes longer to get off the track it seems.
Maybe it's sticking to the track and tearing up the tires. And, since superspeedways have less overall coverage from the cars, the problem would be amplified on the superspeedways (Daytona, Talladega, Indianapolis).
I think this is a very interesting theory overall. RTR/ARCA Thunder might be on to something.
