Interlooper

Hessian

Well-Known Member
Noun....
Def: An arrogant driver who attempts to avoid a light/stop sign by exiting the road, and looping around traffic at an intersection. They block up people behind them when trying to cut into the opposing lane, and use the merge lane like the Budd's Creek dragstrip.

Used in a sentence:
"Oh, just watch this interlooper trying to cut through the red light in the turn lane...what a @#&*!"

Enraging it is.
While sitting on 235 I watch them speeding up the turn lane and then cut through WaWa. Always hoping the cops will ticket them.
They are one of the reasons I will not waive people through who are trying to make a U turn. I can't see people a lane over coming up, and they aren't going to make the turn and stay in my lane. I've gotten tied up there because someone making a U turn got smacked by a vehicle they didn't see coming hard. Particularly those that want to turn into Toyota or WaWa

I agree, and wont let folks through during rush hour for that reason. I do not want to be responsible for that result. Even just a little. You want to cross NB 235 in the afternoon, keep going until you get a controlled intersection.
