I travel with a few of these.

Most laptops are dual current as are most modern phones. There's no need for a converter. It's best to check first though.

Depends on the electronics and where in Europe they are going.. different adaptor needed for say Germany than England
BUT like said above ensure the electeonielectronics are capable of 220 or 110 (240 or 120).. if not the adaptor will only aid in releasing the magic smoke.

As one already mention is adaptors. If you look at the power supply bricks, you can confirm the voltages by reading the power supply on the phone, tablet or laptop. I would also suggest as Monello has already said an adaptor. Here is one for a little over 11USD and from the looks all countries. A couple of these and they can share them long enough to charge them. They do not convert voltage! There are others. Be sure and read the descriptions and know what you are getting! No need for any smoke on your trip!

I have traveled quite a bit to Italy and Spain over the past few years and all I have ever needed is the plug adapter. Electric razors, phone chargers, laptop chargers, and tablet chargers all work on 110-240 V and 50 to 60 Hertz. The wife's new curling iron works the same but her old one needed a voltage adapter. Every hotel we have been in has had blow driers. You can find voltage adapters on Amazon and all of them have multiple adapter plugs that will work on the different sockets you may encounter throughout Europe and Asia.

One other thing you might want to do is download Hotspot VPN if you want to watch Netflix, Amazon videos, etc. This VPS lets you spoof your IP location so you can get around the blocks that foreign countries put on these sites. It also offers an extra layer of protection when connecting to WiFi sites other than your own.
