TEHRAN, Iran - Iran confiscated three British military vessels Monday and arrested eight armed crew members, state television reported.

The three British ships entered Iranian territorial waters not far from the Iran-Iraq border, the Arabic language Al-Alam television reported.

"Iranian forces confiscated the ships and eight military personnel on board," the report said.

Sounds like Iran is begging us to give them an ass-whippin'... I'll bet the British ships were assisting in the Iraq effort and had no intention of messing with Iran, but happened to cross over that imaginary line in the water.

If that's the case, Iran should have hailed them, verified their intentions, and let them go on their merry way, perhaps escorted if they felt the need.

Now? They simply helped the cause against them.
