Is an opinion "bias", and is that acceptable?

So, there's an opinion (OpEd) written by the incoming acting AG. That's being called a disqualifying bias.

So, is every opinion by every government official a point to disqualify them? For example, if the Armed Services Committee member has ever said anything about how to raise, or lower, defense spending, does that disqualify them to sit on that committee? If a President has ever written about what they believe a SCOTUS Associate Justice should have as qualifications, does that disqualify that president from nominating SCOTUS Justices? What about a Representative - if they have said an opinion on how the House is being run, does that disqualify them from being Speaker?

Or, is this less than a tempest in a teapot, because the media doesn't like what was said?

It's rather hilarious to see members of the left wing media spew hatred and ugliness at our President every day on social media, then pretend they are unbiased at their job, THEN insist that a government official's opinions constitute bias that excludes them from serving in government.

Lord you people are so precious.

So just to point out the stunningly obvious point:

Your examples are horsesh!t. There is a rather significant problem when a potential jurist or prosecutor writes and opinion about an ongoing case or investigation.

WTF don't you are the rest of the ignorati leaders (GURPS and Vrai) understand about that?

It is the same reason why a Supreme Court nominee won't comment on potential cases before the court. This isn't rocket science...but since you people can't do 1 +1, I guess it seems that way to you.

I don't care whether Whitaker is biased against Mueller or not.
If he is it just means he is smart enough to see the joke that Hillary paid for.

Mueller is a clown at best. and a thief for taking a paycheck for nothing.

I don't see how it is humanly possible to NOT have a bias one way or another in this case.

What matters is how you do your job.

What matters is how you do your job.

And we see "reporters" spew their personal bias every single day when supposedly delivering news. When you compare it to how they treated Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, the difference becomes crystal clear.

First off, your complaint is horsesh!t as the acting AG is neither jurist nor prosecutor; he's supervision.

Your final paragraph seems to try to answer the question on Pelosi and others in the affirmative that th er y should not take leadership positions.
