Is Cuba really Evil?

This article bothers me. If the United States Government found 75 dissidents it thought were planning to over throw the Government, wouldn't they hold a trial?

Maybe I'm missing something but right now, this doesn't look good.

Weeeeeeell, there were way more protestors than that and Bush didn't have them rounded them up. And that's about all these Cuban dissidents were doing - vocalizing displeasure.

The way we do it in this country is that there's an investigation and proof of wrongdoing before we start throwing people in prison. Unless, of course, the Attorney General is Janet Reno - then the ATF just opens fire on them or burns their houses down. Which would explain why she loves Castro so much - kindred spirits.

No. Cuba is supposedly awesome.

Communism is evil.

Cuba’s leadership is communist. So, the leadership is evil.

We should attack them later on when the calendar opens up some.

You're right about Cuba and its leadership, but I don't see the need to attack them. Does Cuba even have a real military anymore, now that the USSR is gone? I have a feeling that two days after Castro dies, his successors will come to us begging for normal economic relations. Then, we will have an easier time bringing democracy to Cuba. No more tyrants like Batista or Castro.

I remember the stories about the CIA trying to have Castro's shoes shined with depilatory, so his hair (including his beloved beard) would fall out.
