Is Gold The Next Bubble?

You can't drink, eat, or smoke it, so what good is gold other than for industrial use or for jewelry, which nobody currently is buying due to the economy.

So is gold the next bubble set to pop?

All the shills are pumping, claiming you must have it in your portfolio to protect your wealth, and the unsuspecting public accomplices (those who have purchased) are all encouraging it much like they did when they said you could never go wrong buying a house at the top of the market.

Who's bold enough to make a prediction? I say $400-$500 an ounce five years from this date.

The next bubble is the bond market... Bonds, Government Bonds... Probably before summer.

The next 'bubble' is whatever is going up, unreasonably. That would include gold, oil and bonds, whatever.

Bubbles are easy to see. When they will burst is easy to see, at least when it SHOULD pop. The problem is that bubbles happen when the herd, slowly, identifies where the opportunity is and then the herd finally gets going in the same direction and all that momentum carries right over the cliff.

People were predicting the tech stock bubble burst for a couple of years and it finally happened. Housing was known it would blow up in '07-'09. Oil was carried by the herd WAY beyond when it should have popped. Now, gold and bonds will keep going until Obama makes up his mind and Wall Street settles down.
