you know, going in where dash in was in front of cedar point FCU on 235 in california?

iveheard around town sonic (which i know theres not enough room...) and another smaller fast food place, and then a couple more sit down restaurants. i dont see any signs there anymore about what it is, or at least the few times ive gone out of my house the past few weeks, so i was just curious since hearing all the contradictory stuff around here lately!!

oh btw, does anyone know if there will be a sonic anywhere near here any time soon? :lol:

Not sure about the Chipotle's. I had heard that and noticed the one in Waldorf was nearly finished a little over a week ago.

As far as Sonic goes I know that there are 40 in work over the next couple years in PA. A good friend of mine has worked with the gentleman who is going to be the franchisee. He's currently working with the Sonic in Fredricksburg, VA. training to operate and train his own stores.

No word on Maryland but I'm sure that they are just looking for someone to be open to the franchise... they are over a million a pop to open.

someone needs some money for MD, preferably HERE in md, LOL!! i wonder how much checkers cost? someone should have opened a sonic instead of another checkers..hehe.
but no, i in general dont like fast food, especially around here, but im 7mo pregnant and i love me some sonic food while being pregnant (i was in another state during some of my pregnancy with my 2yo) and i keep seeing commercials..argh!!

yes, im a huge dork, ive said this already, i know, but just making sure ya know, hehe

About a month ago, there was a sign in front of that building that said "future Chipotle".

The only thing that has been submitted to the county for that location is Chipotles Mexican Grill. I haven't seen any requests for revision.

I think the one in Waldorf's been open for a while now.

I had read that Dunkin' Donuts was building in the general area. But now that you mention it, the building's shape looks a bit like the Waldorf Chipotle's.

Is that chain any good? A few people who have eaten there have described it as the McDonald's of Mexican food, just barely better than Taco Bell.

I've been to the one at the Verizon Center and in Crystal City. The food rocks. I've heard it referred to as the MickeyD's of Mexican, but I don't see how you can even put it in the same class as McDonald's. :shrug:

The only reason I would make that comparison is because I understand McDonald's has a financial stake in both Chipotle's and Boston Market, and I find McDonald's food to be nasty. This may sound snobbish, but when it comes to burgers, I like Five Guys and Fuddruckers and Cheeseburger in Paradise. If Chipotle's food is good, what is McDonald's doing right with that chain and doing wrong with its own chain?

Will it be combined with a Baskin Robbins? The Lexington Park-California area hasn't had a true scoop shop for many years - the liquor store next to Big Lots was a BR more than 20 years ago.

I think it was the Forever Eden store that used to be the Baskin Robbins. I remember they had those old school desks in there. Wow... that was forever ago. Does anyone remember the Carvel that used to be next to Ames (which is not Roses)? Mmmmmm... Carvel soft serve with rainbow sprinkles... :drool: Sorry. I'll shut up now.

Actually, Dunkin’ Donuts is going to be in front of K-Mart in between Blockbuster Video and G & H Jewelers. Blairs is in the building next to Cingular.

i dunno, ive just never seen any signs, maybe theyre invisible to my mindy eyes! hehe..but then, noone else i know has seen it either. strange. none of us go out ll that much right now, maybe thats why?

and yep, im a complete dork, d like to know what the heck is going on, but im totally not as good at being nosy as i thought i was LOL and i havent been to waldorf since december!!
