Is this a roach?

If so, what species? If not, any idea what type of bug it is?

The antennas out of the back threw me off, when comparing it to pictures online.

Thanks, I looked at this site last night and wasn't sure because of the antenni (sp?) coming out of the back of this thing. I haven't seen any rear ended antenni on any of the pictures I looked at previously so I wasn't entirely convinced it was or wasn't.

if you had a better pic of the top side.... it may be easier.... :yay:

That looks like an American roach. They live primarily outside and you see them most in the late spring. Sometimes they wander inside but when they do, they don't live long.

Those are called "cerci", and typically, they are longer in juveniles. Before the wings grow out and cover them.

Personally, the one pictures doesn't look like cockroach cerci.
