In the First place National Guard Troops haven't been trusted with live Ammunition in Domestic instances since Kent State.
I would bet they don't have a bullet amongst them. It is possible I suppose that someone there in the higher ranks may have access to ammunition in case of a situation, but I even doubt that. I doubt they are even given bayonets.

Anyone who would face Christ only know how many National Guardsmen by the time Inauguration day rolls around would have to be a idiot.

Your last sentence makes no sense.

Given how the media has perpetuated so much fear over the extreme, violent, hateful right-wing groups, I guarantee these guardsmen will be fully loaded with live ammo. They will not be caught with their pants down if shooting starts and they have nothing to counter it with. And nothing would make these haters of anything not them, than to see a bunch of right-wingers shot down in the street.

Let me make this perfectly clear . Anyone who goes to DC to protest the Inauguration is a damned fool.
Stay home, stay safe, stay warm and turn your TV off and ignore the whole farce.

Our time will come, be ready.

I completely agree. I'm not a protester anyway. It rarely gleans the results they're protesting for. In today's climate, it only results in violence and people getting hurt, or even killed.

That's because you watch sh^t "news" and they've been peddling incitement porn for close to 5 years now.

Nothing will happen and they'll be like, "Whew! We headed THAT off!"

Or some minor whatever will get blown out of proportion as an Al Qaeda-like attack, like they did with the SIEGE :cds: and INSURRECTION :jameo: at the Capitol.

That will be their "didn't I tell you so" moment.

Yeah, unfortunately that's exactly what got us the corrupt fascist government we currently enjoy. We stopped paying attention to what these grifters are doing and got fat, dumb, and happy.

It is our right under the Constitution to peacefully protest our government. No kidding, it's right in there. You can read it for yourself, I swear I'm not just making it up:

Our fascist overlords are trying to prevent us from protesting them, sending their flying monkeys out to wreak havoc to discourage us from exercising our rights.

Now, we can either knuckle under like the sheeple we are, or we can stand up for ourselves and our democracy. It doesn't matter what dumbdick on the internet says - he's a cultist and of course he hates it when we criticize his masters. What he bleats out shouldn't deter us. We have a RIGHT to protest, and if our overlords don't like it, well, they can ask ol' King George III how that works out.

YOU do not have to do a damn thing, but the very least you could do is support those who are fighting for your freedom. Or at least not criticize and discourage them.

Sorry I disagree. Protesting works great if it is the left doing the protesting. They are always peaceful and lawful. When the right protests they get all insurrectionist and all.

It can't be stressed enough that the left thinks we're just a bunch of redneck bumkins, unable to see what's going on. The left's efforts to silence their opposition will ultimately backfire on this one premise. This "opposition" will be forced to go underground where they can communicate out-of-sight-out-of-mind. That could prove to be a very dangerous thing; especially when you consider this "opposition" is reaching its breaking point.

Of course, I keep going back to - we all knew what the left's agenda was, and what they would do if they got this power. It wasn't enough to get folks out to vote for some strange reason. I'm almost inclined to say "f##k it people, you saw it coming and you sat on your collective asses and allowed it to happen. Deal with it." Elections have consequences. If feeling the pain over the next 2 years isn't enough to get you people to the polls in 2022, then we probably deserve to fall to socialism and the oppressive intentions of this far left government.

^This is my take ^

But Psy, can I just mention something?

You spent the last 5 years railing against Trump, saying what a jerk he is and not presidential and blah blah blah. You should be thrilled that he's finally gone, but I see you're not. Can you explain that to me?

You finally will have the peace through ignorance that you kept saying you wanted. A president who will say meaningless orator speechy things and be tongue-bathed by the press, lauded in all the magazines, maybe emcee the Oscars, and you'll go back to that wonderful time of not having the media going berserk over whatever awful name the president called the celebrity Leftists. Back to the good old Obama days before badorangeman wrote mean tweets that made you gasp in horror and made you ashamed to be an American.

Why aren't you happy about this?

And that's a real question because I'm completely confused. You got what you said you wanted, and still you gripe. Why? I am genuinely trying to understand this.

In the beginning, yes. He was kind of weird to me. But, over his presidency I was far more a defender of Trump than not. It took me a little while to warm up to his personality. It seems my criticisms of him stuck out in your attention than my praise. He still made comments that made me squirm, but his accomplishments far exceeded any of those squirming moments.

  • I never once believed he colluded with the Russians, and knew the whole thing was fabricated.
  • I never once believed Trump abused his power to force Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy to investigate the Bidens.
  • I never believed Trump was in bed with white supremacists.
  • I never believed Trump is a racist or any other sort of ____is or ____phobe.
  • I never believed Trump ever gave orders (either directly or through code) to any group to commit violence.
  • I have supported Trump on every policy he proposed.
  • I always knew these impeachments were nothing more than a means to destroy Trump and had nothing to do with "high crimes or misdemeanors".

The one thing I have never been, for any politician, is a 'fall on my sword, diehard' supporter. They all have their faults and I will call them out for those faults when I see them.

When you say protest, IMO staying home and staying safe and turning off the TV is a protest
That Inauguration should get the lowest rating ever for anything televised.

Now as for the protests. No Commander in charge of troops should be stupid enough to charge into a known trap.
Republicans aren't allowed in the Green zone anyway so they couldn't have a large protest.
Again: Do not go to Annapolis to protest that's another trap and Hogan doesn't like Republicans anyway.

We will have plenty of opportunities to protest Biden's stupid moves in the next 4 years, but choose your own ground and your own time.
The first rule of any intelligent Officer.
Organize---even a sht group like ANTIFA and BLM are organized. Loosely of course and be sure you can trust those who are in the group, but organize. No one can stand alone. An organized protest is the best kind of protest .Nothing is more stupid than to advertise an armed demonstration. You know you will be met with an armed opponent. Now I am not saying with this that i would entertain any of these actions I am just advising those who are rapidly running off at the mouth and thinking of doing something stupid on election day. Your time will come, and perhaps sooner than you think.

Republicans have shown they do not mind arming troops against you and giving orders to fire.
The Pentagon has shown by their refusal to send a small contingent to Andrews to say goodbye to the current President and their subservience to a President who isn't even sworn in yet that they will shoot you down like dogs on the orders of Nancy Pelosi. Hold your horses, the time is coming. Do not be wasted or arrested in a stupid and useless action on Inauguration day.

That is some lovely revisionist history, but I actually read your posts. You "warmed up" to him about a minute after the election was called for Joe Biden; prior to that you were highly critical of him because he wasn't that statesman orator speech giver that you find so attractive. You posted about his mean tweets and whatever the fake news media said he said exponentially more often than you praised anything he'd done.

I'm trying to get to the bottom of this mentality because it's a common one among humans, and one that I don't understand. But if you're going to engage in that "Nuh uh!" thing the Leftist cultbots do, which is interesting in itself, there's no point in having the conversation.

Not that it matters. We had one chance to save this country and we blew it. Now we get what we get.

Colluding with Russians: Bought and paid for by Hillary Clinton and the Democrats--part of their treasonous act of sedition.
Funny how Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton and other blacks kissed Trumps ass before he ran for President, then listened to their Master's who runs the Democrat plantation the day he started running. Real loyalty there,
You and I and all Americans with a brain supported Trumps moves in foreign and domestic policies because they were good moves, they made sense and they strengthened America.
The impeachment were just more of the seditious moves made by the Democrats who accused the president of working with Russia while their new faux President was working with the Chinese.

Why do you think they care about ratings? Fox just freaking tanked their whole news network to bow to the Leftists. Clearly ratings don't matter to them.

My understanding is that this is going to be a "virtual" inauguration - rehearsed, taped, edited, and streamed.

And doing nothing isn't a "protest".

I don't know what state you are in, but I would bet you aren't going to it's Capitol and standing there in protest.
I have been to Annapolis and protested and wasted my time with these Democrats there, who passed everything I was protesting. I have been to DC and protested in right to life marches.
It is easy to encourage others to protest and face armed opposition that are just waiting to destroy you.
I am just saying , Be smart.

IMO my advice is good advice. Stay home stay safe and be ready . The time will come, it's been building for a long time.
Do not be stupid and waste your life or your effort.

Yes as I understand it the Inauguration will be virtual, but they are inviting Hollywood sht to entertain, hoping for ratings.
I won't be watching.

Oh good Lord! I'm not going to waste my time justifying myself to you, when you are obviously looking through some very myopic lenses. I am on record in this forum defending and praise Trump far more than not. You just didn't tolerate any form of criticism towards Trump.

And comparing me to the left is just silly. And this just further shows that nothing I can say to you will be received with reason.

Anything more than taking the oath of office and this show of putting flowers in Arlington, this Inauguration should be 90 min tops. Of course the media will make a full day of it. Down to what they had for breakfast to the clothes they are wearing.
