My son came home yesterday and said that someone was air-lifted from Patuxent Elementary. Did anyone hear anything? He said it was a student/teacher but I am thinking it was probably from an accident on Rt 4 and Pax Elem. was the closest place to land the helicopter. Any ideas?

It was a student from Appeal, one of my daughter's friends. She hit her head on the metal pole of the swing. The helicopter landed between the 2 schools and she was flown to Children's Hospital. Last night around 6 they were talking about sending her home.

Ouch! Glad she is ok. I figured it had to be true-atleast partly. He wouldn't just make up that a helicopter landed at his school. He thought it was pretty cool because my other son was air-lifted from St Mary's Hospital to Children's Hospital back in 2004 and he missed it because he had gone home with grandma and grandpa.

My 5 YO told me about it last night, but all he knew was it was a blue helicopter.
