Islam Sees No Distinction Between Combatants and Civilians

A radical Muslim cleric in Sudan with a history of incendiary statements against the U.S. now says that under Islam there is no distinction between combatant and civilian and thus American women and children are fair game for militant attacks.

“In its war with the infidels, Islam recognizes no distinction between regular armies and civilians,” said Sudanese cleric Muhammad Al-Jazouli at his Friday sermon, citing a fatwa, or religious ruling.

The Middle East Media Research Institute found video of the sermon and posted translated excerpts online.

In the sermon, Al-Jazouli said he had been “overjoyed” to hear of one particular hadith, that is, a tradition related to the prophet Mohammed.

Al-Jazouli quoted a statement once conveyed to the prophet Mohammed that when Muslims would attack “the polytheists at night, women and children would be harmed.”

“The Prophet Muhammad answered: ‘[Their offspring] constitute part of them.’ They are part of them, said our beloved Muhammad. This is not merely someone’s opinion. Thus, killing their women and children is permitted,” Al-Jazouli said.

Oh Oh Oh Oh, let me guess here the so called religion of peace at it again. Meanwhile the good ole USA Military goes into places like this with both their hands tied behind their backs, and oh for good luck lets hobble one one of their legs, and tell them to go do their job. Never see any bad press about Islam believers being accused of killers or war crimes, it is just part of their religion, it is just anotherr report of a suicide bomb, or civilian slotter, but that's ok that's the way they fight. If our Military was turned out with no rules, they would get their a$$e$ kicked in a heartbeat. You either go into a war fighting it or you don't go into one. PS i have stated this many times there will never be peace in the middle east, this has been going on since the Crusades, and before. Their own damn Moslem sects over there are involved in a massive civil war with each other.

Agree. No matter if we go into the Middle East or stay out, nothing will change their behavior of fighting amongst themselves. We have wasted a lot of money, and many brave military have sacrificed their lives. I think, however, we can't ignore it because it could ultimately affect the US. Actually, we have already seen that terrible tragedy happen. I don't know what the right solution is. JMO
