You're thinking the Weekly World News - Batboy, the Alien - but they are satire. They freely admit, their stories are fiction and they're there for laughs. I used to subscribe back when they still had a paper edition. Hitler's Dog was gay; squeamish surgeon throws up in patient; Airline sued for breaking Dracula's coffin.
My favorite was a diaper you only needed to change once a month - it looked like a huge balloon that you tied at the baby's NECK.
Don't forget, it WAS the Enquirer that broke the Lewinsky story.
