Well, call it what you want. Sucker or not. Those girls work hard too. They do so much for me as well. They get my food out of the window and bring it to me when I am busy. The help me by getting me more ice or beer from cooler if I needed. With me being preggo they have helped me even more..
So it works both ways. They do for me I do for them.

10% of their total bar sales. So if they only sold $100 in bar drinks then it would be $10 for the bartender.

Now at the old place I worked at I was the server bartender. I think Jasper's does that as well. Where the tip out are your tips for the evening. Which I So did take or I wouldn't get paid. So if you had $10 * 12 servers ( Weekend night) that is $120. but all I did was make drinks for the servers. That was like 10 years ago also... I guess it all depends on where you work at and the situation..

That seems fair. The only place I worked as a server didn't have a bar. I'm looking for a server position now and would prefer to work at a place that has a bar. That's why I was curious. Thanks.

If I were you, I'd forget bartending.
You don't want to work in the few places you can work.

Since it's now non-smoking and I've noticed how many bar owners are just funding their own bad habits and because after ten years I no longer have any tolerance for large toddlers with issues... I'm going to be a barista instead of a beerista:lol:

Is this a second job you're looking for? If not, from what I have seen/understood....take a number for a good bartending job. Anymore, it's like you have to have a portfolio, a 'following' if you understand my gist. Being a good bartender is an art..so if you have worked hard and built up cliente, it's a good thing. Something about having a 'reputation'...

If you are new..well, I guess you just have to work harder on doing the above.
