In this article the girl who was with the accuser admits there was no rape at Duke, but she hesitates because she appears to want to go to court.
Mike Nifong the District Attorney admits he has not even interviewed the accuser,although he has charged the 3 young men with rape. The case appears to be nothing more than a way for Nifong to get re-elected. He has succeeded in causing much damage to these boys and their futires and should be liable for a law suit ,although I am sure there is a law that makes it illegal to sue him personally, although I would bet Durham NC will be making a payment in the future.

Nifong wants someone else to make a false accusation or something so he has something to work with. These boys' constitutional rights have been violated by this nutjob D.A. not to mention the fact that they were thrown out of the school on false accusations.

No court in the nation can close this case until Nancy Grace says so! She's got to shake her head a few more times and reapply her overdone eye makeup too.

Nancy Grace thinks they're guilty. Why? because they're defendants. She doesn't think anybody has the right to presumption of innocence. And these boys have not been proven innocent. If it was up to Nancy Grace, they'd be hanging off a tall oak tree by now.

I think any woman who makes a false rape charge should go to prison for the same amount of time the person who they claimed raped them would be in there for. Making a false charge can ruin somones life and there should be a very heavy price for doing that to somone.

I'm not sure I agree with the length of the sentence. But a good year or two should have people thinking twice. It's hard enough to prove a REAL rape case, without all this kind of crap going on.

Unfortunately, these guys will carry the stigma of being branded 'rapists' for the rest of their lives. It's becoming more and more clear that they are simply guilty of using questionable judgement and yelling racial slurs. That's certainly not good behavior, but it's not criminal behavior, either. A prosecutor has carte blance to ruin anyone's name he/she so chooses in an effort to make a conviction. They release personal information to the press, make it sound like you're already guilty of the crime without the benefit of a trial and then hope, and I do mean HOPE, that someone else comes forward to bolster their flimsy case. When nobody does come forward, they say "my bad" and refuse to prosecute the case. No harm, no foul in their eyes. Never mind that a certain percentage of people will ALWAYS consider these boys to be rapists. Nifong should move to Charles County, his tactics would fit in very well here.
