Scanner been going crazy with accidents in Charles, mostly bumper car type accidents very few injuries, Hughesville area has had at least 6 of these kind of accidents since about 430pm.
About inch and half to 2 inches of snow in Charlotte Hall, it is now freezing drizzle with a little snow mix.
No blacktop showing on any streets in my neighborhood.

There goes another accident on the scanner Leonardtown Rd. in the Bryantown area.

I wont be surprised if Mechanicsville Volunteer Rescue Squad will be dispatched possibley soon. The last 3 straight calls on Leonardtown Road. Mechanicsville Volunteer Rescue Squad were dispatched.

Just got a call from KEEP (run by ST. Mary's Co. Parks & Rec) they are on a two hour delay and will open at 8 vs. 6am. BUT... to call 475-4200 in the morning to see if that has changed to a CLOSED status.

This last accident was Bryantown Rd off of Leonardtown.

Mechcanicsville will only get dispatched if its Homeland Drive and south on 5. Which 3 of the accidents have been today. Benedict along with Hughesville has anything north of there, with Benedict giving mutual as far as Crackingtown Rd area. then Waldorf EMS comes into the picture.

Well you never know. I remember once they called Mechanicsville once all the way to Waldorf for a MVA that involved 4 Vehicles back in December around the first week. But i am not familar with Charles County in how they do there dispatches so I was not sure.

I wonder if the teachers will have to go in for the service day tomorrow in St. Mary's
Hard to say. Bug's teacher is preggers, so I would hope she would stay home if the roads are bad.

Just got a call from my plowboy and SHA says they are expecting some more snow after this lull. Trucks are still in service waiting for the next band.

Great. Just after they finish clearing, another little shot is going to undo it all. :ohwell:

Trucks are still in service waiting for the next band.
Give them a great big thanks.

Rocky Mountain High!!
little one and i came from college park a few hours ago and counted 18 accidents between 495 and oakville.

we narrowly missed being plowed by a dumbo thinking his 4 wheel drive SUV with driver who has NO driving skills could handle the road conditions and slid from the far northbound lane across the median and into the southbound lane on rt 5, coming straight at us. in which case he spun around southbound, streamed past us again, hung a U turn and headed back north bound. wonder if he made it?

Rottncop is working....it's been nonstop.
