Matthew 22:23 That same day the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to him with a question. 24 “Teacher,” they said, “Moses told us that if a man dies without having children, his brother must marry the widow and raise up offspring for him. 25 Now there were seven brothers among us. The first one married and died, and since he had no children, he left his wife to his brother. 26 The same thing happened to the second and third brother, right on down to the seventh. 27 Finally, the woman died. 28 Now then, at the resurrection, whose wife will she be of the seven, since all of them were married to her?”
29 Jesus replied, “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God. 30 At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven. 31 But about the resurrection of the dead—have you not read what God said to you, 32 ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not the God of the dead but of the living.”
33 When the crowds heard this, they were astonished at his teaching.
OK... all you interpretation seekers.... check verse 30. Do all the interpretations say, "they will be like the angels in Heaven"? Or does it say, "they will be angels in Heaven"? I look forward to the responses. I figure we will be like the angels, but we won't be angels.

Now on to the "Will my significant other know me when I get to Heaven?" Well... maybe.... I'm sure angels know each other so I'm pretty sure we will be like them and know each other. I mean why have names for the angels [like Gabriel or Michael] if the angels don't know each other?

Women were passed from brother to brother in the Old Testament because they were property [non-human]. We won't be property in Heaven. Women will be relevant in Heaven. After all, it is Heaven!

There will be no "marriages" in Heaven... there is no reason for marriage as we have all the help we need in Heaven. Woman was sent to man because man needed helpers and procreation. We'll know them.... we'll be happy to know them.... but it won't be the same. Those who don't make it to Heaven... well if we miss them, it will be short-lived and fairly painless. After all, it is Heaven.

I get it.... some people got married a bunch of times before they met Jesus and accepted Him as their Savior. They are wondering.... what if all my wives [or husbands] show up all at once?!?!? Don't worry.... it's heaven.... if there is embarrassment in heaven.... it's short-lived and fairly painless. After all, it is Heaven!

The Sadducees didn't believe in Heaven. This is a trap question for Jesus. The Sadducees wanted to get Him to slip up and say something that would lower His approval ratings and disperse the large crowds that were always protecting Him. They don't believe in Heaven so they could easily charge that a woman would have to orgy every day because she was with a bunch of brothers on earth. That, they would figure, would be enough to run off those faithful followers.

But Jesus knows the truth about Heaven. He grew up there... before coming to earth as a human... Jesus was the Son of God in Heaven, God's Home. So, Jesus knows what it's like! Ownership and procreation aren't relevant in Heaven. Marriage isn't relevant in Heaven. Jesus watched His Father create the first humans and He understands humans better than humans understand themselves.

Let me state my opinion again.... we will be like angels, women will count in Heaven, and marriage won't be relevant in Heaven.

I don't think there will be a lot of men or women saying "oh no.... they're all here! Who will I choose?"

Better yet.... if we have to say, "how did they make it in here?" it will be short-lived and fairly painless. After all, it is Heaven!

It won't matter.... after all, it is Heaven!
