It's Electric

The T-storm show at PLO on Saturday night was awesome! My crappy camera ( and skills ) netted me only a couple pics. This was probably the only one I'd show anyone ... hopefully hubby got better shots! It was so much fun!!!

Awesome shot! I was watching the storm from the Eastern Shore yesterday. Cloud to cloud lightning is just too cool. :yay:

:yay: Good shot CC. Capturing a picture of it isn't so easy. It was a spectacular light show.

Love it!! ---a bit noisy though-perhaps the "crappy camera" and the low light in combo....I ran it through a noise reduction and it made a big difference then bumped the contrast a bit. I wont post it though unless you want me too....or pm me and I will email it to you.
I have tried to catch such a shot.....it aint easy and I have never been able to catch it at this degree---way to go!

I've never understood the "noisy" thing. What does that mean?

Glad to see some action on the photography thread again, even though I can't see the pics (Damn NMCI blocks photobucket)

Instead of a nice crisp image with sharp lines, colors, etc. There is "noise" or digital pixelation...dots everywhere. The higher the ISO setting or lower the light the more "noise" or what looks like grain...seems to appear...basically. I copped this way in, it was shot at 3200 ISO and lighting was almost completely dark. IE, not a good thang' :otter:

Your picture was a lot better then mine. It was dark out when i grabbed the camera and i didn't bother trying to get the tripod so i guess i couldn't expect much.

However i did find a use for my pictures......they are good for an example of noise.

CRF...those are nice and actually you could clean those up a bit with noise reduction...mine had the combination of blur...so its trash...but do you mind if I play with your images a bit?

Feel free, i would love to see what you can do with it. I have not messed with noise reduction software because i didn't think it would clean something up this bad.
