good luck with the little one. thats a great ageOriginally posted by Nickel
I have a little one, but I'm young. My son doesn't like it when the wind blows his hair every which way, and I can't hear him telling me about his day (in his 2 year old baby-speak) with the windows down. Running a/c isn't a bad thing on an 80 degree day. That's JMO

A/C doesn't affect gas mileage a great deal. IMO the comfort outweighs the extra 75 cents a week I'll have to pay in gas to run it...
its comfy with the windows down sometimes though!! when the prices do go up more ill try not to use the a/c in the car wheather it effects it or not that way at home i can enjoy it even more have a great dayOriginally posted by Nickel

Maybe it is a weight thing... I am so fat, I sweat when it is in the 30's outside...Originally posted by Nickel
blue  How bout yours?
I drive a Honda, and my gas mileage hasn't really been affected by a/c. But I don't blast it 24/7, just enough to cool it down, then I turn it off.
that car gets great gas mileage anyway right? so does mine.(toyota ) i guess those big trucks and suvs may suffer?!Originally posted by Nickel

That would also explain the terrible mileage I get...
The sun on my world is actually a yellow cupcake...

Absolutely not. It's reassuring to know I'm on iggy after the stunt I pulled this weekend.
true for long trips!!!!Originally posted by darkriver4362
My mechanic buddy said...."if you open all your windows, and are on a long trip, the gas consumption is greater, due to increased aerodynamic drag, than if you were to use your A/C."
