On the 21st of August, I will transform from a Mechanicsvillager into a Lusbian.

I done went and bought me a house.

Much to my chagrin and indefinable sadness, retuning to Arizona has been pushed back about 3ish years while I finish college.

Financially there's no alternative: being that my company is paying for my education (how I love them for it) and since of the 6 resumes that I sent out (as well as two within my own company) every single one of them replied with some variant of: "Your experience and credentials are great, and we'd hire you right now if only you had a bachelor's degree".

So, I have plowed hard and headfirst into a glass ceiling. And now I need to work my way around it.

So I figure I'll build equity while I'm doing it.


It's a really nice house. We close two weeks from today...
Two weeks from right this very minute, actually.

Wow, two weeks is quick to settle. I didn't think everything could be finished in two weeks, inspections and all.

We've actually had this in the works for a couple weeks already. The termite inspection was today, the full inspection is Thursday. Everything else has already been taken care of over the past few weeks.

Congrats on the new house.

I just graduated from college in May and it was the best decision I made. Hitting that glass ceiling really stinks, but busting through it with the college degree is a great feeling!

Why arizona? Isn't it hot enough here?

Seriously, my best friend moved from PA to AZ in June. Monday was her litle girls' first day of school. daughter was happy to have a dress code.

She's in Prescott Valley....north of Phoenix I think-
