A Salute to all on Watch
When? Fortunately, just today, I found another person who can work on my Harley MUCH cheaper than HD. :yahoo:

Cheaper is not always better, I am looking for someone who is good to be my mechanic as well, don't mind paying a fair price. I'm in Hollywood, please pass on the info if your guy is looking for more work.

Soon. If he's not putting it out there it's not for me to say. Also, anyone is cheaper than an authorized repair shop. Just make sure to keep receipts if you are concerned about warranty.

True but not in all cases. I was telling a friend of mine at lunch today about Jags and he told me about a guy he's been using for a while and he is HD certified. The only thing is that he didn't have his number on him so he's going to call me when he gets it. I'll post it on here when I get it. He's said that he is a short distance past the base gate near Shangri La drive.

I mean $13 for an HD oil filter is a sin. My bike is a 2001 so warranty is not an issue. Last time I had my 20,000 mile service done at All American HD (with a new rear tire installation) it came to almost $900. :faint: I simply won't pay that any longer. I heard about this guy from a friend today and now you're telling me that Jags is closing, so this was right on time for me. I'll post his name when I get it (hopefully tomorrow).

I still like Serge Performance on Great Mills Rd. He is very conscientious albeit a bit slow at times. Still, I'd rather have it a day late and right than on time and needing rework.

Used Serge. He does good work. Put me two new tires and brakes and didn't charge me near what All American wanted.

I found one online for something over $100! But, it has cooling fins and is reusable! Pay for itself in 50k miles.
