My 10 yr. old Abyssinian has totally lost her marbles! She is normally a laid back cat and all of the sudden she has gone banana's and is beating the sh!t out of every cat that comes into my bedroom!!! I'm like wtf???? :jameo:

You just added a new cat to your household, she's probably upset.

She has never acted this way before though. She usually just ignores them and goes on sleeping in the sun. This is just totally bizarre! My mother suggested maybe she had a mini stroke and it has changed her personality, she said that happened to her grandmother. I don't know, I guess anything is possible.

Not that anyone cares, obviously, but I took the cat to the vet. Vet thinks it was the catnip I got from Fosters and Smith yesterday. Whatever, guess she's a mean drunk.

I don't give my cats catnip as my vet said its not a good idea as some cats have reactions to it.

one of my cats goes nuts just getting super hyper and starts drooling - the other doesn't have any reaction and doesn't care for the stuff.

My cats usually just roll around in it and act really silly but the older female sometimes gets aggressive toward the younger male after she's "high".
