Exploit kits are updated faster than Oracle can release patches.
Is now the largest security hole in Windows.
Users and corporations don't update like they should. When they do they don't uninstall the old versions.
Old versions of it are still installed. Some older applications need these versions because they are old and shouldn't be used anymore! but really they just can't use the new SDK.
If you can uninstall Java, most likely you don't need it. If you must use it use a Chromium based browser. At least then it is sand boxed.
Go into control panel and remove all versions of it, then reboot and install the newest version (6.30 as of now.)
