Jeff Beck tribute to Les Paul on PBS...

Strung Out
...simply amazing.

Imelda May, never heard of her, fantastic on vocals. Brian Setzer shows up. The backing band is hers and they are incredible. This is one of those gigs where everyone is just fantastic, the horns, drums, all of it.

Normally not my cup of tea but, this is a fun, entertaining show. Not new, it happened last summer but, it was on tonight so, if you can catch it, good stuff.

Only trouble with a show like that is having to listen to them beg for money every 15 minutes. I watched the Albert King & Stevie Ray Vaughn special last month, they wanted $100 donation for the CD/DVD set. Bought it the next morning on Amazon for $15

Jeff Beck not your cup of tea? I would have thought he was a perfect fit for you. Check out 'Wired' or "Blow By Blow". But I like how Beck has become so versatile

I remember listening to him back in the 70s. His playing was impossible to figure out. He constantly switches pickups to change his tone. The one thing I never even realized until just recently was he rarely uses a pick.
