Has everyone heard about Jerry's Place in Prince Frederick????? It is the best seafood resturant southern maryland has seen in forever!!! There crab cakes are 100% crab meat and the man Jerry himself is the most hospital person you could ever want to meet. If you want to get pampered and enjoy good seafood you must go here.

Yes, I've eaten there. Jerry and staff are nice, but you guys aren't going to make it unless you bring down your prices.

Also, you're next to a smelly, tire shop for crying out loud. I feel like I'm eating in their customer waiting room. Not a well thought-out location choice for the type of atmosphere you're going for.

You've cleaned up an old Mom n Pop joint...made some notable improvements, but its still a crappy old building. New paint, nice table-cloths and candles don't make up for that. Sorry.

I agree with lbreder. Dirty ol "Trader's" in North Beach makes a better crab cake than you guys. Your cakes fall apart and are soggy in the middle. I make a better bisque than you too.... PM me if you want the recipe and we'll negotiate.

Pssst...he has a steady customer base and the place he started in Lanham (and sold to a family member) is still going strong after about 30 years.

My mom use to work next door to the Jerrys in Lanham. Since they moved down here I havent been impressed by there food. Yes the guy is friendly and nice, but the food isnt all that. Ive never had a bad crabcake from Stoneys and I have had plenty of them through out the years. Even when we werent living in Maryland my family would send them to us. I guess to each his own!

He didn't move the place down here. His nephew has the old place. Jerry opened this place recently. Jerry's been living down here for years.

Well maybe you need to drive by there in the evenings. The place is always packed and people are waiting to get it. It a simple concept: good food, good service! While the prices may by a little high - its no more than Stoneys!

I prefer to go to Stoneys in Broomes Island than the other two. I think their food is much better. I haven't been to Jerry's yet but have noticed that is always packed when I go by on my way home from work. I did hear the prices are a little high for the amount of food that you are given. Everyone has their own opinion and until I eat there I can't say one way or another.

I ate there too last night and had the Seabass topped with crabmeat - it was excellent!! I work in DC and eat at a lot of upscale restaurants here and there...this was comparable. It was good food without the stuffy atmosphere and stuffy clientell. I would definately go back. I thought the prices were good for the quality of the food. :buddies:Tire shop? Didn't really notice one - I ate IN the restaurant - not IN the parking lot:lol:
