The 911 call from her mother is just excruciating. That friggin' dispatcher has to be the dumbest bia in the US. The woman is obviosuly hysterical, I could understand every word she said, but the dispatcher kept asking her to repeat stuff, couldn't follow what this woman was telling her.

The whole thing just pisses me off every time I hear it.

That story breaks my heart. That poor woman. How awful that her sweet boy had to witness whatever happened.

"The father of Jessie Marie Davis' toddler and unborn child is Bobby Cutts Jr., a Canton, Ohio, police officer."

Sucks to be him.

A local Canton paper is reporting that Cutts has another child in California and was found guilty of trespass for breaking into the apartment where the child lived. He was placed on three years probation for that incident, yet still managed to get hired as a policeman in Canton. Seems odd to me, guess there must have been extenuating circumstances?

Must not be much of a backround check for the Canton police dept.

They say neither the cop nor his wife are suspects, but my bet is that one of them had something to do with this.

Yeah, I was thinking it was either another Lacey Peterson type of story...or another case like the one of the woman who had recently had a miscarriage and cut a baby out of the mother's stomach, killing her.

I would think if it was the father, the 2 year old would have mentioned something about "daddy", unless they are not yet releasing that information. Unless, of course, the father hired somebody.

Such a sad story, poor little boy...and family! :bawl:

I'm guessing not. He was also let go from some police department (not sure if it was Canton or not) because he said his service weapon was stolen. The weapon was found in his cousin's possession. The police department felt he had lent the gun to his cousin but an arbitrator said there wasn't enough evidence and reinstated him.

I know prior history doesn't necessarily mean anything but if I was a betting girl, I'd be putting my money on him or putting his friends up to it.

From the story, regarding what the 2-year old said: "I said ... 'Where's Mommy?'" Porter said. "And he just said, 'Mommy broke the table, and Mommy's in the rug.'"

How heartbreaking to hear that. As I read that quote, I wonder if the mother was rolled up in a rug and taken out. I assume a rug is now missing from the home.

No, no rug was missing, but a bedspread was and they're thinking that the child had mistaken the bedspread for a rug.
