Jesus was not a liar!

Mark 15:16 The soldiers led Jesus away into the palace (that is, the Praetorium) and called together the whole company of soldiers. 17 They put a purple robe on him, then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on him. 18 And they began to call out to him, “Hail, king of the Jews!” 19 Again and again they struck him on the head with a staff and spit on him. Falling on their knees, they paid homage to him. 20 And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple robe and put his own clothes on him. Then they led him out to crucify him.
21 A certain man from Cyrene, Simon, the father of Alexander and Rufus, was passing by on his way in from the country, and they forced him to carry the cross. 22 They brought Jesus to the place called Golgotha (which means “the place of the skull”). 23 Then they offered him wine mixed with myrrh, but he did not take it. 24 And they crucified him. Dividing up his clothes, they cast lots to see what each would get.
25 It was nine in the morning when they crucified him. 26 The written notice of the charge against him read: the king of the jews.
27 They crucified two rebels with him, one on his right and one on his left. [28] 29 Those who passed by hurled insults at him, shaking their heads and saying, “So! You who are going to destroy the temple and build it in three days, 30 come down from the cross and save yourself!” 31 In the same way the chief priests and the teachers of the law mocked him among themselves. “He saved others,” they said, “but he can’t save himself! 32 Let this Messiah, this king of Israel, come down now from the cross, that we may see and believe.” Those crucified with him also heaped insults on him.
The soldiers did Jesus a big favor by beating Him so severely. He had to die that day. He had to get in the tomb before the sun went down. He had to die without assistance of any drugs. He had to have a clear head when He walked out of the tomb. A drugged savior is not the Savior some will need. He had to take the beating. He had to be insulted by the guards. He had to be belittled by them making Him naked when they changed His clothes. He had to shed blood, so there's the twisted crown of thorns.

Some people are making comments about the "insurrectionist" in the Bible and in the news. Barrabas was "with" the insurrectionists. Jesus wasn't. Barrabas was a political prisoner. Jesus was not. Jesus was a healer. Period. No one had to "post reply" in defense of Jesus. [Point made]

It was nine in the morning when they crucified my Lord. He hung on the Cross for hours. Do this... put your hands out to your sides... as if you were nailed or tied to the Cross. Now hold them there for hours. Oh, and you have to hold your breath some. See, Jesus was hung so that breathing became an issue. His arms ached but every now and then He would have to "push up" to get a breath because hanging like that pulls on the body. That was part of the charm of the Cross, it also made it extremely hard for the victim to breath. Are your arms still up? Put them up until they ache.... that's just a tiny bit of the torment Jesus went through. He couldn't decide when to lower His arms. He was tied or nailed to the cross. His arms were up for hours... and His body was pulling on them... and His body was pulling on His chest so He could barely breathe. He couldn't breathe and His arms ached.... and He was not drugged. He took it like a human.

They called Him a liar. They said if He didn't call down His legions, then He was a liar. If He had called down His legions, they would have killed everyone. That would be in direct conflict with His Mission. He was there to save people; not get them murdered. He would have had to have another mass healing. And death would still be an issue. He had to die and be placed in a tomb and arise. Calling His legions would have messed up the Mission. Ignorant Humans.... ugh! They called Him a liar.

Jesus was not a liar!
